A fleet of 47 Mobile Cranes ranging from a 400 ton Tadano Faun ATF 400G-6 to an 8 ton Tadano TS-75ML. The fleet also includes Demag, Grove, Spierings & Terex mobile cranes.

CHALLENGE
The Davies maintenance team were looking for a solution to help them to maintain their wire ropes instead of having to manually apply lubricants to the ropes when the cranes were serviced. They were interested in saving time & money on the lubrication method as well as safely increasing the life & reliability of the wire ropes.
SOLUTION
The Viper Mini WRL was recommended due to the wire rope diameter range of 10-23mm – a portable, easy to use & efficient solution for Davies Crane Hire to quickly, efficiently & safely not only clean but also lubricate the wire ropes of their mobile crane fleet.

RESULTS
Since November 2020 the maintenance team are able to easily remove old contamination from the ropes using the Smooth Bore Cleaners and the ropes are then efficiently lubricated at speeds of up to 2,000m per hour.
